You should know exactly what the resale value of this new motorcycle before you buy. Out side of rider compatibility resale value is probably the most important aspect when buying a new motorcycle. The reason for this is that when it’s time, your bike for a new trade is, you know you get what your motorcycle is worth, like, and you do not end up close to financing the vehicle will be transferred. I can assure you that in most cases you will not get what you think your bike in the trade is worth. An example of this is, I bought a new Honda VTX 1300 in 2005 and in 2007 I wanted a new Yamaha Raider for trade.
I went back to the dealer, Motor und Sport that I bought my VTX in the hope of offering a large trade. Even when I bought my bike from them, better than the dealer could give me only $ 4800.00 used for trade my bike. I was reassured me of $ 6500.00 on the VTX, so I the difference to the end of my financing for the new Yamaha Raider transfer should pay for my Honda VTX or pay the difference out of pocket. I had another option if you want, and who is the sales of Honda was to get themselves what the bike was worth. The ability to sell my right to Honda, is the best way for me to achieve the best performance and ensure that I was able to pay for my bike before I financed the new Raider. But is offered with all the special incentives and offers for new motorcycle from the dealer, trying to sell used my VTX was easier said than done.
I parked the VTX in the parking lot next to my house with a for sale sign to it. The street was busy with a lot of traffic. I got one to stop by and look casual, but no calls or offers stood at all. Then I put an ad in my local newspaper. It is not that expensive, but it was not cheep. I ran my ad for a few weeks and have not even a call. Roadrunner has a classified markets section, so I have a message it still no luck. I wanted to leave me and return to the dealer, take my losses and my Yamaha, if I try something else. I went on Google and I did a search for used motorcycles. I was amazed at how many used motorcycle auction portals and Web sites are listed there on the Internet. I did a little investigation and found a few web site, great bike looked that promising. I was a little surprised they really were not very expensive at all. I placed an ad with photos, prices and details in a few days ago I started to interest me caller. I did finally sell my Honda VTX 1300 and I have the Yamaha Raider buy. I could have saved me a lot of work and worry if I had done my homework, went around and bought a motorcycle with a higher resale value. Since I have not sold my bike used it myself and get the retail price because it was the best option.
